    Discrimination for Having Learning Disabilities

    There are huge misconceptions about learning disabilities. Could this be through ignorance, in which case, is there need for more public awareness? But then again, with such an abundance of information one ought to believe that people would be more informed, but a survey from Turning Point highlighted that a third of Britons believed people with Learning Disabilities cannot live independently or do jobs, while almost a quarter imagined they would be living in care homes.

    Nine out of ten of those questioned felt they had experienced discrimination, and more than half thought they were the most discriminated against group in society.
